筑波大学大学院 人間総合科学学術院 情報学学位プログラム 博士前期課程在学。2021年よりデジタルネイチャー研究室に所属。専門はホログラフィー、超音波フェーズドアレイ技術、立体ディスプレイ、HCI、デジタルエシックスなど。学部時代はアメリカのブリガム・ヤング大学電気工学部に所属し、2021年に卒業。次世代のメディアアートにおいて全く新しい表現を可能にするため研究を行っている。またクラブDJとして活躍するの一面ももつ。趣味は自重筋トレ。

現在、MEMS音響光学変調器に基づいたホログラフィックディスプレイの研究を行っている。

Keaton Blue Shurilla is a masters student in Informatics at the University of Tsukuba, researching in the Digital Nature Group. His research interests include holography, ultrasonic acoustics, volumetric displays, HCI, and digital ethics. Previously, he graduated from Brigham Young University with university honors, having studied electrical engineering under Dr. Daniel Smalley. With his research, Keaton hopes to contribute towards a future that enables new forms of creative expression through next generation media technology. In his free time he moonlights as a club DJ and practices calisthenics style strength training.

His current research focus is on guided-wave acousto-optic devices for holographic video.
