Cicada-Canon
本プロジェクトはセミを用いて音楽を奏でるというものです。セミには電極が刺さっておりコンピュータに接続されています。電極に流れる電気の周波数を変える事でセミの鳴き声の高さを制御できます。今回、セミ達はパッヘルベルのカノンを演奏しました。下記のリンクからセミ達のハーモニーを聞くことができます(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdhv4QByH6c) 。一般的に壊れたスピーカーは捨てられてしまいます。しかし、セミをスピーカーとして用いる事で捨てられるはずのスピーカーを食べ物という形で消費できます。
This project is play music by using Cicadas. Cicadas are inserted electrode and connected computer. We can control power supply frequency and then control tone of Cicadas’ sound. In this case, Cicadas play Pachelbel’s Canon and we are able to listen harmony of Cicadas(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdhv4QByH6c). In general speaker which does not work is discarded. It is waste. But, by using Cicadas as a speaker we does not waste speakers and can eat them as food.
